W hen I decided to research foods on their individual ability to step up energy, I naturally visited the writings and teachings of movie actor Bob Cummings— Mr. Wheat Germ, himself.

I delved into his life, into the lives also of different “perennails,” such as Bernard McFadden, and all of them point to foods as their answer to great energy and longevity.
Bob Cummings says: “Too several individuals settle for deteriora-tion and decay of teeth, eyes, etc, as inevitable from birth. This is not so.” And Bob proceeds to prove it, with himself as the best testimonial to correct eating.
He likes to point out “recent folks” who are “young.*’ He will tell you that at age of ninety eight Titian painted his masterpiece, Battle of Lepanto . . . that Verdi wrote Otello, the great opera, at 74, and Falstaff at80… that Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales was the composition of his later years . . , General MacArthur ruled over Japan in his seventies … Eisenhower was President of our country in his seventies . . . which Sarah Bernhardt was still on the stage at 79, even once losing a leg.
Pin Bob down again on the “why” of those individuals, and he will again say: FOOD.
That Foods Do the Job?
I decided directly then, primarily based on previous analysis of foods for my own Fat Boy’s Book on calories, to be told as abundant concerning foods that provide energy as was potential—and I learned a lot.
Here’s what my findings made:
Initial, your body desires lots of protein to keep it going, it desires carbohydrates (the fireplace of life) to turn protein into energy; and it desires vitamins and minerals, all of that are on your table if you choose the proper groceries, and here is how to strive and do this.
